This month we’re recognising one of our teenage clients, Marcus. Many of you won’t know Marcus as he comes to our FIT PUMP classes. These classes are specific to 16-18 year olds who are looking for an introduction into proper weight training. Marcus is 16 and wanted to start getting serious about his gym training.
Dedicated is almost an understatement. Marcus has rarely missed a session in 3 months, making 4-5 sessions per week. He always asks for training tips or updates us on his nutrition and progress. He’s keen to learn and works incredibly hard in training. Just as importantly, he is a pleasure to have in the gym. Polite, funny, hard working and friendly.
We asked Marcus to tell you in his own words, a bit about his experience at The Fit House.
“I first started training at The Fit House in September. My friend told me about this new gym with experienced coaches, so I moved from my previous gym as I believed Frazer and Rachel would be a great team to help me on my fitness journey.
Ever since my first session, not only my ability but my key understanding of lifting and my technique has improved massively. This could not have been done without the help of Frazer and Rachel. It’s not only such a great working out environment, everyone is so friendly. It’s a great place for young and older people to socialise as there’s a huge variety of classes available for members.
Since joining The Fit House I truly believe I have achieved great things for someone my age. Yet again this would not have been possible without the support of Frazer and Rachel. I would highly recommend going down for a visit.”
From Frazer and Rachel:
Marcus has learnt proper technique, he’s been able to hit some great personal strength records and has also put on some muscle size since he started training with us. He’s learning not only about how to lift, but also more about programming and nutrition too. Well done Marcus. Keep it up, it’s only the beginning!
If you have children age 16-18 who are interested in learning how to train and use the gym properly, the FIT PUMP class is a great option for them. The class runs Monday Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 5pm. We recommend attending a minimum of 2 sessions per week.
Note: due to child protection we have not included a photo of Marcus this month.
